  1. Thank you Mark, I saw your F/K before posting my Tsuba as Tososgu with corals are quite rare. It is for sure same Workshop. I am more doubtful regarding the artist as my Tsuba is with nanako when yours are with flat surface. Same style , probably same school bur what about the artist ? Best regards
  2. Hi, I just purchased this Tsuba representing camelia flowers in silver with coral inlays. Tsuba is in shakudo with a nanako mimi. Plate of tsuba is in ishime. Size is 6 cm X 5.6 cm I search in NMB posts and found a similar F/K: http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4726&p=45000&hilit=coral+tsuba#p45000 Does someone know a school doing such coral inlays ? 6. David, based on your Tsuba, my signature seems quite different and confirming the "gimei" trend. Mariusz, you are right but i am not that proud of the pictures I have (I post them any way). These pictures are those of the auction house where I purchased the tsuba and as soon as I receive it , I'll provide better ones (ones the Tsuba will be cleaned gently). Thank you for your feed-backs
  7. Hi , Can someone one give me clues on the fact that this signature might not be Gimei? If the signature is genuine can it be Hamano Noriyuki I or Noriyuki II? Thank you for your advise and expertise

  17. Hello, another tsuba i just purchased. Kanjis in signature look like being KIYO (Kei?) HARU + Kakihan. But I do not see any Kiyo Haru with such kanjis in Haynes nor in Shosankenshu or in Markus Sesko's Genealogy. Does someone has ideas on school ? Thank you for help.
  18. Chris, sorry for being so ignorant but can you precise your views? I have heard that Tsuba with signature at this place where Kenjo Tsuba ? Is it true ? Thank you in advance for your knowledge on this topic.
  19. Pete, Haynes states that YUKINORI 12452 died circa 1700 / 1750. My Tsuba looks much more about 1850. The signature from shinsen Kinko Meikan looks effectively more similar and correspond to Chris translation

    Two Sennins

Hello, I need some help for those two small Tsuba I purchased some time ago. Both are in Shibuichi representing a sennin (1st Tsuba is 5.8 cm high and second one 6 cm high). I am pretty sure that first Tsuba represents KO-SHO-HEI (Taoist priest under chinese name Hwang Chu Ping) with stones being transformed in his goats. But what about the second One? Does someone can give ideas ? I assume those tsuba are Hamano, but should you thing they are Nara or Mito please advise. Thank you for your kind help
