  1. On ebay, some days, you are the bird. Some days, you are the statue. But, much more often than not, you are the the statue... Hoanh
  2. I would bet this is your guy. http://www.ryujinswords.com/kanemoto2.htm Hoanh
  3. Geoffry, Is there any inscription on the other side? Hoanh
  4. If I were you, I would post in the “Want To Buy” section. Much better examples, guaranteed to be nihonto, better prices as well. Don’t get burned on your first purchase. Hoanh
  5. 1400USD for all together, then yes, it's worth a gamble. 1400USD for each, then definitely no for me. Hoanh

  7. Great idea! No objection here. Hoanh
  8. Chris, I had a papered Ko-Katchushi tsuba. A little larger than this one, but is comparable in aesthetics (my aesthetics). It did cost me 4-4.5x more than this one, though. I would call this one "tosugu bargain of the year." Hoanh
  9. Mark, I was bidding on the Gendai Toko Meikan - always wanted this book. Many thanks, Hoanh
  10. I had the most disappointing experience with komojo on ebay. I was bidding on a book listed by him with a set max bid. At closing, "someone" outbid me by $1. Five minutes after closing, I received a "second-chance" offer from komonjo for my exact max bid. Coincidence? I think not! To protest shill bidding, I am not going to bite this offer. Hoanh
  11. May I get help with translation, please? This is a bit tough for me. Spent a lot of time looking up kanji but not getting too far. I can only make out: ??da Masahide ??toshi (maybe). It's dated Showa 50. Many thanks. Hoanh
  12. Learned something new. Didn't know they had Showa stamp back in the 17th century. Hoanh
  13. It also has a beautiful vivid utsuri, too, but I haven't figured out how to capture it on camera. Need to sharpen my photography skills. Hoanh
  14. Bitchu Yasuhiro, and yes, I still have it in my collection. http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/12932-bitchu-no-kami-tachibana-yasuhiro/?hl=%2Bbitchu+%2Bkami+%2Btachibana+%2Byasuhiro Hoanh
