  6. peter i think a light oiling is all you need, IHO just a shirasaya is all for now, the poilsh will tell if you need to go forward. Do a good research on the togi youll want a well trained one for a first calss blade.

  9. Frank & Paul did you look at the saku on the Shigefusa very close to the Shigetsugu, and dont think ive seen any others sign with that stroke count
  10. Aizu ju...so des, Hai domoarigatogozaimasuta Paul sama, in Doc Stiens site under RIKUGUN JUMEI TOSHO SWORDSMITHS they list a Wakabayashi Shigetsugu which is the way Shigefusa signed his first name see (Sloughs pg. 157). I wonder if its the same smith and he used dif, name at dif forges.

    thanks Brian, were getting closer here in ppl stepping forward, Tim's Kane kanji has three legs to the right and the first to the left, think the one Moriyama-sama posted for you is diff Kanemoto..thanks for showing.

    Hi John the research was in wondering about this board members Ebay auction, don't want to hawk it for Tim but feel that it may be older that what the papers says it is.     Now that ive sold most of the good books im in need of help(you all knew that was coming). Anyone have a clear oshigata of late Koto Kanemoto? esp Noshu Seki ju Kanemoto saku? Many thanks in advance if you can.

  23. not a brit but ill give it as always being a Tanto, do you have The Connoisseurs book of Japanese Swords, it will show you many styles of Tantos Ko-wakazashis, i have one for sale on in the forsale page, check it out. OK plug is over back to over the pond.
