peter i think a light oiling is all you need, IHO just a shirasaya is all for now, the poilsh will tell if you need to go forward. Do a good research on the togi youll want a well trained one for a first calss blade.

Frank & Paul did you look at the saku on the Shigefusa very close to the Shigetsugu, and dont think ive seen any others sign with that stroke count
