IMO dont touch it. Make a oshigata and never take it apart again.

The tassels on shingunto or kaigunto was meant to be used that way. On sabers from all over the world ,have knots. If you was rideing on a horse , you didnt drop the sword/saber. The slider on the starps loocks the tassels/knots to the wrist. This is the original purpose for knots and tassels on swords and sabers.

Dont like that the wakizashis tsuka is on the kake. Not good for saya,blade and tsuka. Only saya on kake.

The kogai looks homemade and the Sekigane too.

Looks like the Kaeshizuno (hook on saya) is turned the wrong way.

What about a leather string for not droping the sword on the battlefield.

Compared with a katana it matches , but as tachi it dosnt.

Also the knots on the ito are reversed ,its not only the menukies like the Yagyu Ryu sword.

Itomaki is not newly done. The leather lock clip thrugh the tsuba is reversed. I have tryed too turn tsuba and seppas, but they only fit one way.

Its a great sword , a gendaito. But are You sure its not yoshitada? He was rikugun jumei tosho too .

Very nice eleven leafs navy sword with mon. Very old blade mounted with very nice hada. The mon is Matsunaga and I found Matsunaga Sadaichi 1892-1965. Since its a presentation navy type sword , I think they gave this color to the gaijin's , since they not was a part of the rank system.

It looks tight ,but not done correct , the knots looks too big ang clumsy.

Dont like the tsuka ,it looks like it was poorly rewrapped.

Broken tip thats why its a "wak" size. 400 usd is way to much. 50 usd is ok. Looks like mixed parts.
