  3. I think tsuba collectors will appreciate this one.

  6. Are you kidding me! About $1350 for this tsuba, and it is a fake! Hence my philosophy, if you don't spend a lot you can't get bit for a lot! I will stick to eBay and my bargains! Just my opinion!
  7. commonly called the 1912 german ball knot. used for every day use.
  8. The Moriie is zaimei? Very desirable works. Wish I could see the Kunihiro up close. His works are rare. Thanks for the photo efforts Sam. And kudos to Fred for bringing them to share. Wish I were there!
  9. Thank you @Lewis B and @SteveM, my excited mistake. I’ve edited my previous post to reflect
  10. Today
  11. The dealer should have taken the money and run! But no he is greedy and re-listed it at a huge starting price 200,000 yen - I do hope people give it a closer look next time they bid [if ever]. I don't like all those little holes in Shoki's hair and the "paint" should always stay within the lines children! Good copy compared to many, but still it should be advertised as what it is - a copy. This might not be the place to say it but as none of these - even the utsushi "real ones" - have ever been near a sword, are they tsuba? Or are they in reality "tsuba like" objects of art?
  12. Yes, the one on top is Hatakeda Moriie, the one on the bottom is Kunihiro.
  13. massive price cut, litteraly the best bargins to be found all in premium boxs and pillows, NOW AKASAKA $200 67mmx71mmx6mm TOSHO 85mmx89mmx2,5mm SOLD AMIDA $199 66mmx66mmx3mm MENUKI $150 43mm longx 15mm tall plus postage, got stung on books to europe
  14. I'm pretty sure the Kunihiro is the blade below with the kinzogan Mei. Can't quite make out the Mei on the upper tanto but its not Kunihiro
  15. Just trying to find a way to express my envy. Maybe double .
  16. Incorrect: Pictures of the Shintogo Kunihiro Correction: Hatakeda Moriie Another scenario where it looks way better in person because of the barrier. It’s pretty challenging to get a good photo of these display blades, and there’s lots of people. Still, I hope my photos offer something to admire
  17. Got a better photo of the Go Yoshihiro kissaki But this is the best my phone can do given the barrier, angles, and light
  18. Yes, they belong to Fred, and they are not for sale.
  19. Polished in Japan. Some of my details are likely off due to Google translate (Japanese seller) but i saved the info I was sent after purchasing. "Characteristics: Hizen Province Omi DajJjo Fujiwara Tadayoshi is the son of Tadayoshi lI1 and his real name is Gensuke Hashimoto. He was excellent in his skill and in the 13th year of the Genroku era, he was awarded the title of Omi Daijo. He inscribed Omi Daijo Fujiwara Chukichi, Hizen Province Omi Daijo Fujiwara Chukichi, etc. Tadayoshi IV, his father, Tadayoshi llI died prematurely in the third year of Jokyo, when Tadayoshi IV was nineteen lyears old. I learned. For this reason, many of his works are similar to those of Tadahiro I1. There are also works that are thought to be his second generation works. The 4th 0mi Daijo adayoshi lived a long life and died at the age of 80 on September 9, 1944. It is a recommended swing that has been polished |and is in good condition."
  20. The German AI text is incredibly flawed.
  21. He was active 1688-1736 so no lover then this. But "The fourth-gen Tadayoshi received the honorable official title of Omi Daijo in the 13th year of the Genroku era (1700)" https://www.samuraimuseum.jp/shop/product/antique-Japanese-sword-wakizashi-signed-by-the-4th-gen-tadayoshi-nbthk-tokubetsu-hozon-certificate/
  22. Probably not, but I'd be very curious what sum might purchase the Kunihiro
  23. Thanks for the clarification and image of the preferred TH level papers. I'm curious where you get a precise date of 1688? Was it polished in USA or Japan?
  24. Guys do exception and comment please. Isnt it Juyo pretender? Such a healthy piece. It's wazamono rated smith!
