b.hennick Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Congratulations to board members who were mentioned in the post. I would appreciate pictures. Is there a link?? Ford, Mark, David can you provide us with some photos of your entry? Quote
Ford Hallam Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 I think that at this point we should also remember the awful tragedy that Japan suffered exactly when many of us were hard at work on our entries. Our efforts fade into insignificance in the face of what the Japanese people have had to endure. For myself, nothing I can ever make can express the sadness I felt, while forging a plate of shakudo, when the news first came though from Japan of that terrible disaster. Having said that I must also say; 3 (apart from myself ) out of 11 nyusen, all "followers of the iron brush" , I'd say that's a pretty good showing lads I, for one, am bloody proud. It's exactly this sort of dedication, respect and effort that pays most sincere respect to Japan, her people and her traditions. Namaste all, Ford Quote
Mark Green Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 Well said Ford. Congrats to all. This was my entry. Dragonfly over the pond. Tamahagane made by Master Rich Chen. Quote

Ford Hallam Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 I was quite amused to see Remo's entry described as butterfly wings I thought I'd explained that one ...didn't anyone tell the judges? Quote

Bugyotsuji Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 Grazie mille, 'Renzo, but in this case I think you should keep it with the certificate as proof to the wife of your true worth. When you have more time and money, then please make something for me! (Before you become famous and too expensive...) Quote
