Hi @Esaiah1391,

I’m going to relocate this to the general Nihonto section for now. Our for sales section is not for discussion, and it’s required by rule to have some specifications and an asking price.

Let’s start elsewhere for the discussion for now. Your sword looks strange to my eyes… I’m struggling to make sense of what I’m seeing. Do you have more photos? Particularly of the entire blade without fittings?

Regards,

-Sam

Appears to have muneyaki and a very low shinogi.

The ura side seems to be normal, whereas the omote side has the low shinogi…..definitely weird, not to mention, the end of the nakago

The muneyaki looks like it may be etched?

It does look odd, but there is enough there that I get the feel it's real. But it certainly is odd and needs a lot more pics.
Which school signed on the blade, not the nakago? There is one...

I believe its Iga no Kami Kinmichi - 伊賀守金道

Yes, written in a kind of off-the shelf "Times New Roman" kind of font. I believe this is machine-inscribed. Maybe some kind of souvenir sword.

What kind of machine can do yhis inscription?

I presume any modern engraving machine/device can do this.

The IJA may well have made use of such a device, but certainly Iga-no-kami Kinmichi did not.
