I’ve collected swords but was never concerned about authenticity, until this sword. I’ve done some research and think that it might be legit, but I’m not sure. I’m just looking for other opinions. 
 

I have more pictures, I don’t know how to upload them.

I'm not really holding my breath Lex.

 

Remove the Tsuka if you can and post a couple of pics of the nakago (under the handle).

 

First remove the little Mekugi (peg) ...just ask if you need help.

I'm more leaning towards a display mogito, mainly from the low quality of the tsuba carving.

The fittings are certainly chinese and not authentic but the nakago will definitely confirm for the blade.

 

Id be leaning towards very likely not authentic
