Is this authentic?

I’ve collected swords but was never concerned about authenticity, until this sword. I’ve done some research and think that it might be legit, but I’m not sure. I’m just looking for other opinions.

Looks fake from these images. Show image of nakago without tsuka and habaki.

Remove the Tsuka if you can and post a couple of pics of the nakago (under the handle).

 

First remove the little Mekugi (peg) ...just ask if you need help.

Looks all new. TSUKA MAKI seems to be made the right way, so maybe a IAITO?

I'm more leaning towards a display mogito, mainly from the low quality of the tsuba carving.

To me looks like a Paul Chen or other modern sword.

It does attract a magnet.

The fittings are certainly chinese and not authentic but the nakago will definitely confirm for the blade.

 

Id be leaning towards very likely not authentic
