Hello,

I’m looking for a recommendation for a qualified togishi based in Europe. I have a daisho with NBTHK papers. The blades have developed some rust while in storage, and I want to have them assessed. Can some here recommend trusted professionals in Europe. If there are any forum members or affiliated contacts you consider reliable, I’d be very grateful. I can provide photos and video of the rusting parts.

Thank you very much for your time and guidance.

In fact, Martin Horňák is also a traditional togishi who trained in Japan

Is it known how many years he trained in Japan?

Massimo Rossi polished my Yoshindo Yoshihara katana and he did an astonishing work!

How much did cost you? If it's not a secret.

Hi.

I will not say. It was several years ago and highly dependent on the sword conditions so it is better if you contact Massimo directly.

No one?

I haven't gotten my polished and paid-for blades back from Martin. He isn't even responding to me anymore. Maybe someone else has the same problem.

His website is down. Maybe you can ask him over Facebook?

Or you can visit him?

I think Martin divides his time between Japan and Slovakia(?). He may be away from the swords and unable to ship until he returns, although this doesn't excuse the ghosting.

I wonder how many traditionally trained Togishi exist outside of Japan?
