Sword ID requested

Guys, long time listener 1st time caller.  A friend of mine's friend, recently came forward with a sword that was given to him in an estate.  After looking at it, I am confused.  It was a bring back, but it doesn't have any of the normal arsenal markings on it or standardization that I would expect to see in a military ww2 sword.  Unfortunately that is the extent of my knowledge.  I had them take some high quality pictures and upload them to a google drive.  https://photos.app.g...gl/nD493CVJ1NfRUosXA 

 

I figured this was a good way to do it to save bandwidth of pictures.  My wife thinks she can make out Norimune and Bizen

Ray beat me to it, and I actually had one right for a change!!!  This could be of interest on the Nihonto Forum.  Sesko shows Norimune smiths from the 1200s through the 1800s.

 

Will, 

This is an older, civil blade mounted for WWII.  And just as an FYI, most blades made in WWII didn't have arsenal stamps either.  The fittings are a higher quality than usual, so the original owner spent some extra change fitting it out.  I'm posting some selected photos for the distant future if the link above goes dead.
