IanTan Posted May 9, 2022 Report Posted May 9, 2022 Any recommendation on where to get the replacement pin? The pin broke while removing the tsuka. Thanks Quote
ROKUJURO Posted May 9, 2022 Report Posted May 9, 2022 Ian, make one yourself from a bamboo chopstick. 2 Quote
Grey Doffin Posted May 9, 2022 Report Posted May 9, 2022 Yes, and don't delay. The pin is very important. Grey 1 Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted May 10, 2022 Report Posted May 10, 2022 Ikea sell a multi-pack of decent quality ones. Quote
WillFalstaff Posted May 10, 2022 Report Posted May 10, 2022 You may want to go the above route, but if you got a bit of time and use a chopstick temporarily, you can order smoked bamboo from Namikawa (as well as a few other things to justify shipping $$). That's what I did, then made my own pegs. The smoked bamboo won't change as easily due to relative humidity like untreated bamboo (or any other wood) will. Quote
b.hennick Posted May 10, 2022 Report Posted May 10, 2022 Thrift shops often have bamboo knitting needles. You might be surprised by how common they are Quote
