vajo Posted February 11, 2021 Author Report Posted February 11, 2021 Could it be cast? These small openings in the plate with red rust makes me doubt. The Tsuba is not expensive. Quote
Gunome Posted February 11, 2021 Report Posted February 11, 2021 Hello, Last kanji is Yuki, so Masayuki Looks good to me (not cast) 2 Quote
MauroP Posted February 12, 2021 Report Posted February 12, 2021 Hi Chris, here below a tsuba from my collection, signed Kōfu jū Masayuki and wth the same shape of fundō (分銅), i.e. the shape of old scales weights. A similar tsuba is also reported in the booklet "The Japanese sword and its fittings, from the collections of the members of the Japanese Sword Society of New York and the Cooper Union Museum", p.26.
