Michael 67 Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 Hello, I would be very happy if someone is so friendly and translates Sayagaki. Thanks again and again for the support. Michael Quote
uwe Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 Seems to be “ Hizen Jū Harima Daijo Fujiwara Tadakuni”! Quite a name..... Quote

Surfson Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 So the above and the sayagaki is by Kanzan Sato. Is it a nice sword? Quote
Surfson Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 Looks like classic Hizen in suguha with a tight itame hada. Hey, it makes me nervous to see it on that nice leather couch. I poked a nasty hole in a couch with a sword once and have still not been forgiven! 1 Quote
Michael 67 Posted October 11, 2020 Author Report Posted October 11, 2020 Robert, I won't do it anymore. Here photos of the Nakago. 1 Quote
SteveM Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 Looks like a very nice sword. Here are the other bits of the sayagaki 刃長貮尺壱寸参分有之 Length 2 shaku, 1 sun, 3 bun 昭和卅六年初夏吉日 Showa 36, auspicious day in early summer 寒山誌 Kanzan The sword has nearly the same cutting date test and tester as this other Tadakuni. They were tested just a few months apart. https://www.yamasiroya.com/katana/katana/post_14.html Quote
mywei Posted October 11, 2020 Report Posted October 11, 2020 Big fan of the suguha Hizen work. My first blade was a Harima Daijo Tadakuni! Quote
