Ken-Hawaii Posted June 8, 2020 Report Posted June 8, 2020 Most bamboo species become harder during colder months. Okay, that's why I didn't understand! It never gets below about 60F here. John, that's a great idea! Now, all we have to do is find the molds, & afford the ballistic gel. Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 With the gel you can reuse it, it just has to be melted and reformed. With the popularity of it being tested on gun channels it could be an interesting alternative for some. The fact it is reusable means it is cost effective in the long run as well, as for moulds all you need is a PVC pipe cut in half and add bamboo in the centre. Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 I was thinking more about making a head, neck, & upper torso. Why fool around with bamboo? Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted June 9, 2020 Report Posted June 9, 2020 Well you still need bamboo for the bones! Quote
Ken-Hawaii Posted June 11, 2020 Report Posted June 11, 2020 Does your ryuha recommend aiming for bones, John (PNSSHOGUN)? Quote
jeremy Posted June 11, 2020 Report Posted June 11, 2020 Great video John. I always assumed the ballistic gel was suited to bullets etc and projectile weapons. Guess my assumption may have been correct Quote
