Ray Singer Posted December 10, 2019 Report Posted December 10, 2019 Ubu Kaga Kagemitsu koto tachi measuring 72cm. An extremely healthy koto tachi which has been papered by the NTHK to the Fujishima smith who worked in Bunmei (circa 1469). It has a very healthy jitetsu, with a beautiful itame hada with chikei. The hamon is a gonome-based formation with very fine, thin sunagashi running throughout the entire sword. The nakago is totally ubu, with a nijimei (two character signature) of Kagemitsu. This Kagemitsu was a part of the Fujishima line and there is a very similar, but a bit longer, Kagemitsu tachi rated Juyo token. Condition like a shinshinto blade or better. In shirasaya with kinkise habaki. NTHK kanteisho. $6,750 (plus shipping and PayPal)

Ken-Hawaii Posted December 10, 2019 Report Posted December 10, 2019 Love the sugata! Wonder if my wife is looking for a Christmas present for me?
Ray Singer Posted December 10, 2019 Author Report Posted December 10, 2019 I've actually tried that dropping that hint to my wife last weekend Ken, but it didn't fly. Hope you have better luck
Ken-Hawaii Posted December 11, 2019 Report Posted December 11, 2019 Well, she just grinned, but didn't say no. Interesting having a wife who also swings swords!
