Odd Set Up For A Gunto

Gents, A friend of mine sent me some pics of this sword that came in the door today. I couldn't

tell him much about it. Hard to find double hanger saya in a repurposed NCO type blade? Or am I

way of base as this sword being a mashup?

That's a legit Type 94 Officer gunto! They sometimes had fullered blades too. Hope someone can translate the kanji, they look quite unique!

Is that Sen suki Yasuri yasurimei or just scratches?

THanks for the input fellas! The blade reminds me of a arsenal made forging like in some of the kyuguntos, and the mei is stamped it looks like.

I'll have to drive over and take a look at it. And he's not close.

This is 村田刀 Murata To , it has arsenal made blade.

I like these sword,It has officer sword looking ,but very easy to take care of the blade since it was made in arsenal like NCO sword.
