Hi

I hope I'm not getting boring but I thought you may like to see a temporary cabinet I adapted to hold tsuba

As it is temporary I didn't worry too much about the glue used and I check every couple of days to ensure all is OK

I bought a cheap wooden cabinet of Ebay - It was rough so routed the corners and sanded the outside

I then bought some self adhesive felt again from Ebay

It was fiddly making the 96 sections and covering every face with the felt but worth it

It holds 96 tsuba and its very easy to pop them in and out for viewing

Each draw has the tsuba number on the front so I can find each tsuba easily

The draw size width only allows me to have a maximum tsuba size of around 82mm hence the tsuba boxes on top of the cabinet

I have a really nice glass cabinet they will eventually be housed in but this is a temporary measure until I sort out my lounge prior to putting up the display cabinet

While I had my camera out I did a few more images

This was made from a kids toolbox from a charity shop for £4

I added the walnut veneer and brass fittings, then made the draws and lined them

I use this when taking the tsuba out of the house

Hi Steve

See you Tuesday!!!!!!!

I added this an an alternative storage method and it can be done quite economically

I should have added that my wife did virtually all the fiddly bits as she has so much more patience than I do

PS

As the box was a bit small for the arrow head I had to chisel out a notch

The clips stop it touching the sides
