MASAMITSU (正満), Genji (元治, 1864-1865), Tosa – “Doshū-jū Masamitsu” (土州住正満), chū-saku (Markus Sesko translation with thanks)

Hawley MAS 533 I believe

 

 

 

Large thick sword with 29 1/2 inch blade, .8 cm at the machi, which is not in polish. The hamon is a broad suguha. Mounts are iron with handachi style tsuka and sans menuki. Just a bold sword meant for serious business....$2,000 plus shipping.
