Nickupero Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Hi Guys, Been out of the loop a little while, with planning a wedding, gutting our new home, and just about everything else life throws you... hope all has been well for everyone! Time to pay some bills so I have this newly acquired Wakizashi I'll be adding to inventory shortly, the blade is really beautiful work along with the koshirae that has this incredible earthy feel, could be the Urushi or the Tsuba that is meant to look like wood (with leaves growing on it). Anyways the Mei reads Echizen no Kuni Kanenori, with brand new NTHK-NPO certification. They attributed it to around Kanbun which makes it 3rd Gen Echizen Kanenori/ 1st Gen Kaga Kanenori, father of the O-Wazamono ranked 2nd gen Kaga Kanenori. Nagasa measures 51.0cm / 20 inches, Polish is nice and so is the forging and hamon, actually its really nice, a pleasure to look at. Price for members is $3,650 USD plus shipping or any Paypal fees. Donation will be honored if sold here. Enjoy and please email me with any questions.
Greg F Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Hi Nick, Great looking sword, i dig the earthly look to it and the blade is gorgeous! Good luck with the sale. Greg
Stephen Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Grand wakizashi, which begs me to ask, does anyone collect just wakis, seems it would be a lot less expensive and be able to collect so much more. just a thought
Fuuten Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 Really nice, if i weren't saving (or had the money I'd be in!), i really like earthy themes and this is quiet nice. I particularly like the tsuba(!), such a natural looking shape and really complements the koshirae. And the blade, the jigane looks lovely, personally i like such in-the-face type styles. Looks like a great piece
drbvac Posted February 3, 2016 Report Posted February 3, 2016 The Hamon is amazing - whole package is damn nice as usual Nick ! Great seller by the way folks - fellow Canadian aside as I have gotten several great pieces over the years.
