All,

A couple months back I posted a request for some context assistance on a sword inscription (http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/17282-context-help-again/).  I have been away from home for the past month, so I only just now got a chance to really inspect the sword.  NBTHK Hozon papered, fully mounted katana by Kasama Shigetsugu dated 1921.  Taisho swords by Shigetsugu are few and far between and this is the second to enter my collection.  I thought a couple of the guys here might appreciate a peek.  It's a lovely sword with outstanding activity and while this sword was created early in Kasama-san's career, it shows that he had a lot of talent and foreshadowed things to come.  I hope you enjoy it nearly as much as I do!
