Stephen Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 help with the slogan? any idea to its use Quote
obiwanknabbe Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 You will laugh but I saw one of these in an Anime Episode "Rorouni Kenshin". In the show it was a Buddhist prayer/memorial for deceased children. Its possible that there is some religious significance to it. Just a shot in the dark. k morita Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Hi,Stephen Maybe it is a ink-stick(" Sumi" in Japanese; 墨 ) used for calligraphy. Quote
SteveM Posted September 22, 2015 Report Posted September 22, 2015 Agree with Morita-san above. The words aren't a slogan, they are a commercial brand. Seems to be the Sōkin brand (not sure how to pronounce it as I think it is a Chinese brand). https://www.kaibundo.net/products/detail.php?product_id=1924 Quote
