who's the go to guy for habaki and fitting it to a saya

I have a sword in need of a new habaki as the one I have on it doesn't fit into the saya and the sword just falls out. I am sick of having to tie it together to keep it from scratching the blade.

Have you checked that the koi guchi on the saya, is still offering a best grip.

If its become enlarged, then a repair there could save you the cost of a habaki.

It depends upon what it needs, artisans prefer not to do some types of repairs. New habaki may require a new saya, that is the proper order to ensure it's correct.

is it an art piece we are talking about? then definitely talk to Brian. if for a morepracticle item like an Iai sword, I would go with the DYI option myself.
