Nevertheless if some one can try to translate bit and odds of this nakago. I shall ask him if he can provide other pictures. Quote

Bugyotsuji Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 So far I think I can see 備中庭場(瀬?)城主三村 守 親重六代孫 I know that the Mimura clan were a big Daimyo family controlling Bitchu, and Niwase Castle was one of their important properties at one time. 庭瀬城 (Another version says 撫川城?)had another name 芝揚城. (こうげじょう Kogejo) Edited to make more sense... Quote
kunitaro Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 I think, 備中 成揚?城主 三村紀伊守親重 六代孫 Bicchu Seiyo?Joshu Mimura Kii no kami Chikashige roku-dai mago 因幡藩士三村頼之作 興長子X本国之 Inaba-hanshi Mimura Yoriyuki kore wo tsukuru (Choshii-x?Hongoku(Motokunni) wo okoshi, kore wo tsukuru) I couldn't figure out the meaning of last 7 kanji, because, I couldn't figure out one kanji... and I can not read other side. need better photo. Nobody Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 ............. 因幡藩士三村頼之作 興長子X本国之 Inaba-hanshi Mimura Yoriyuki kore wo tsukuru (Choshii-x?Hongoku(Motokunni) wo okoshi, kore wo tsukuru) I couldn't figure out the meaning of last 7 kanji, because, I couldn't figure out one kanji... ....................... This is my guess based on kunitaro-san's reading. 因藩士三村頼之作 與長子柄本國之 - A retainer of Inaba-han, Mimura Yoriyuki made (this) and gave (it) to the eldest son Emoto/Enomoto Kuniyuki. Quote
CSM101 Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 Maybe this one is better to read. The other side is just a guess. Uwe G. Quote
