Hello members:

Attached are a few photos of a short Wakizashi that I told a friend I would try to findHello out what it says. Please give me your thoughts on the photos.

The old sword is not in very good condition, but it looks to be in the form of a converted Naginata into a sword.

Thanks in advance!

Yokoyama Kozuke Daijo XXX Sukesada

I see no signature recorded in the Meikan for either generation of Kozuke Daijo with a personal name included....

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL who have or will contributed later to this post. However, to answer the question Negative, writing is only on one side of the tang.

sorry I do not have any pictures of the blade, it is Wakizashi length in poor condition. One last question on the subject, what time period would you say this smith worked?

Thanks

Is that 9th gen Yokoyama Shichibei, Horekijidai? John

I found this smith!

He is listed as the 6th generation Shichibei no Jo Sukesada. He used the Kosuke Daijo title.....
