    Seppa

I also saw the video it's superb but I can't find a brass plate nearby and when I find it on the internet the shipping costs are double the plate. I asked a friend if he had any in his work, he found me a gilded bronze plate but thick like 6 seppa, I tried to reduce it but it's hard as anything and I'm afraid that the result is horrible in the end.

@Stephen I can understand why it's been a bit of a hassle in Europe for some time now with customs, I had a wakizashi sent back to Japan without going through customs, good for bad who knows, the future will tell. But yes, it's quite complicated. I'll look at the links and get back to you. Thank you very much for the links @Larason2 I'll take a look and find out.

    Seppa

Hello to all, I looked everywhere but after some setbacks I prefer to ask on the forum and I would like to know where I can find seppa of good quality for wakizashi? In addition, there are several thicknesses. Thanks in advance. Dimitri
  4. @DTM72 Very clear, even if I am in Europe, there I completely understood. It all depends on our desire for conservation whether in time or not. Enter the link to explain the subtlety of the certificates then your explanation and feelings, there personally I like this frankness.
  5. it is really very well done, thank you for the additional photos. I Love it.
  6. Splendid 😍
  7. Thank you very much for the links which adds uncertainties personally. I'm going to read them to find out more and have bad luck afterwards.
  8. Or send it to your messenger profile and save again, compressed automatically.
  9. Excuse me @Brian or other members of the forum, it's probably a stupid question that I'm going to ask but hey I'm starting. If there is already a certificate, why ask for another one? And I do not understand the color of the certificates, blue, yellow, it is compared to the note of the experts?
  10. Yes it's funny but Stephen I would have written Stéphane. I hadn't seen that the page had transformed your name, besides I couldn't name you other than by Étienne 😂. the French translator is like France right now, it's a mess.
  11. @ÉtienneIt was I who had seen one but on ebay, on a post that was looking for a tsuba fitting with the elements of the tsuka, it seems to me @GeorgeLuucas. however it was not the same price. But pretty much the same nonetheless.
  12. He is beautiful, I understand you. it is superbly fitted. the menuki are just awesome. I would have said the same...
  13. Very nice, congratulations 👏👏
  14. The provenance is strange "Belles 1971", you should know the name crossed out, it looks like Jean at the end but not sure, maybe with this clue you can find the catalog of the collection who knows.
  15. Hello, you have translate everything good. Just after Muromachi period, in parenthese it is written expo Soten for Soten exhibition. You are doing well in French 😉🙂
  16. Very beautiful things, we take full eyes! The daisho look splendid, tsuba #44 is wonderful, as is set #31. But I think out of reach of my purse.
  17. Amazing, great buy.🙂🙂 My dream one day I hope.
  18. SORRY Brian and all other members, a short sentences I can write without too much trouble in English but if too long, I put 3 hours to write the time to find my words. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  19. I hope you will manage to have the lot because on the last auctions that I followed in Europe, the entry-level sabers just like the tsubas went to terrifying prices. I hope you will have the chance to have them at the prices you have set for yourself. Good luck.
  20. Thank you so much @chris covington 🙏🙏😁😉
  21. Ah yes, and which looks like the Kamon indeed. Thank you for that clarification.
  22. @Bugyotsuji I can not understand the link, where you are coming from, there is a kamon, I apologize in advance. @Steves87, yes it is strange indeed, on the other side nothing is gone. When I received it it was very dirty and it looks like there was old oil on it. there it is oiled, dry in a piece of furniture and next week cleaning with a soft cloth and re-oiled again. Is this the right technique? There are so many. I will show it to someone to see, but the weight is good I think and there are similarities with the link of another Nami tsuba @Spartancrest, maybe that of a student or less expensive order. @ROKUJURO It would be a shame if my second tsuba in a row is not yet a true quote. Go a little depressed there.
  23. Congratulations, the work is splendid and frankly she is magnificent. You can be proud of yourself.
  24. Thank you very much @ROKUJURO
  25. Thank you very much Chris 🙏
