Thank you, oh yes I greatly appreciate it. This is a very nice Christmas gift 🤩🤩. On the description, there was middle and later Edo period. So frankly it’s a good compromise and frankly I think the whole thing suits it well. Afterwards I won't regret it but in hindsight, I could have seriously bought 2 or 3 during this sale, the prices were unusually LOW, at the price of a saber said to be correct for certain armors.

Alex, thank you very much for the comment, I somewhat agree, the maedate is a little big, see if later. dear Uwe, the Do and the shikoro are well laced in leather, I took photos. mempo also. only the soles are laced in fabric or silk. But same dye.

It is really very beautiful, unfortunately being in Europe, as usual the taxes will weigh down the bill. It's really a shame. Could you give us his sori also please?

Thank you for this review. 🙏🙏 I suspect that it's entirely just pieces taken here and there but it caught my eye as they say and with a really low budget. I took closer photos, I hope you will be more satisfied. It's a little damaged but frankly I've seen worse.

Hello everyone, I hope you had a good Christmas with your families. This is one of my Christmas gifts, bought at an auction. I'm quite satisfied, there are gaps, there are elements that are not from the same period but that's okay, I like it and that's the main thing as they say. Compared to the different Mon on the body or on the Kabuto, could there be a match? as a vassal? Thank you in advance for your comments. Sincerely Dimitri

Really pretty, just a shame about the tip.

I thank you very much, I cannot find a historical correspondence. You saw, there are annotations in pencil on the document which have been added, I tried to have it translated but I have as many translations as I have translators.

Good evening everyone, I would like to have some clarification on this translation for a koshirae, I do not want to get ahead of myself but it seems to me that it is a handashi koshirae but I am satisfied with my purchase. Sincerely Dimitri. For the last photo I have a doubt of common sense, sorry in advance. THANKS

Quite interesting blade, shame not to connect sooner otherwise I think I would have given up. Congratulations to the buyer. -
Congratulations, she is beautiful. You must be proud of yourself, it’s an excellent job.

Piers thank you for all these details. I suspected it was an exhibition stand but I couldn't enlarge it enough to try to translate the little signs. Yes recently, I saw a pistol in a sale and it went very high, I had the bid for just 1 second. Frankly it must have been a very enriching exhibition, I love rifles in general, I only have 2 teppo but I have hunting rifles from arquebusiers and imperial manufacture. So a certain attraction. Thanks again.

Extraordinary, thank you very much. There are some very beautiful specimens. Tell me Piers, in Japan, how many yen can we find for teppo pistols? I'm always amazed when I see one. Thank you. PS. As for the armor, it's nice, afterward I'm afraid to respond and say something stupid. In any case, very successful.

Here is the finished support. Varnished support and copper foot painted in satin black. I was able to put everything down quietly so I could admire it when I come to relax and admire my little collection.

@uwe Thank you, I completely agree about the stirrups, simple to stick ah better with the Kura.

Thank you Piers 🙏🙏🙂↕️. I couldn't miss it, the photos made me want it but in front it's more incredible. These two objects have traces of use, which gives an interest in having been used for me, there are Kuri which seem new so much that there are no chips or other small losses. I will try to see if the engravings on the Kura have a Mon or religious meaning. I will try to find out if there are any signatures or traces tomorrow. Also in France and we agreed to a meeting like that, no sending and more security. For later I will just have to find stirrups. Thank you

Hello everyone. I hope all is well in this section of the forum. I just purchased these 2 items. the Horagai is very large, 41 cm long, it would be from the Edo period, its tip is not made of brass but like rolled up burlap and lacquered on top. The previous owner made me listen to the sound, it’s incredible. The Kura is also after the same person from the Edo period. There are the 2 protective mats for the horse, I fell in love with it, it is lacquered in quite a few places, I tried to see if there was a signature but apart from a fairly blackish mark in underneath I don't see any. Purchased in Japan a long time ago for the Kura like the Horagai by the previous owner. Today I had fun making a support for the Kura, I still have to paint and varnish but I'm quite happy with what I did. I will put a cloth on the support so as not to leave a mark on the wood with the copper rods. If you have any comments to make, don't hesitate, I'm always interested. THANKS. Dimitri

Thank you very much Piers for the photos and the video, it’s a real pleasure, the hindsight for some Teppo is impressive. Your Tanto is splendid, I love this color, very captivating. Thank you for sharing.
