  1. Good morning. I am listing this blade as well. Mumei, large leaning gunome hamon. Iron fittings, 20.25” Nagasa. Saya painted obviously but has a nice shakudo fitting down near the end. Ask any and all questions. Open to offers as well. Listing for $1000, shipping included. PayPal or other pay options available. Regards
  2. Here is my only tsuba fitting what you’re looking for, convex. Regards
  3. Looks like top two on right are Bu Shu, maybe 🤔
  4. If you say it’s signed then let us see that. That will prove it’s legit or not. thanks for posting
  5. Thank you! Here is regular pics same as the original post.
  6. Nagashi polishers marks
  7. And a few more on other side. thanks for looking!
  8. Was working the oshigata and the Edison bulbs were on fire for this hamon!
  9. This looks to be water quenched but signed like a jackass 🤣 thoughts
  10. More pics
  11. This sword was purchased as an unseen Kai Gunto, high quality koshirae (the Tsuka is out for re-wrap) so will post pics later. The interesting part isn’t just the actual blade and hamon with tobiyaki, but the Chippy Mei that the Gunto swords seem to have. Signed Kanetada, who is listed in Sesko it seems. I like to joke and say it was his disabled brother who signed it for him 🤣 It also appears to be ubuha, although a Bubba tried to sharpen it sometime in the past.
  12. This almost looks like it’s supposed to read “Fujiwara Ju Yasumitsu” but that seems unusual. Sorry I can’t read it better
  13. 延壽國秀 Enju Kunihide is the mei
  14. Bishu Osafune Ju Sukesada. Not much to see except nice fittings if cleaned up but looks legit -ish. What’s the cutting edge length (Nagasa)?
  15. This is one of the “alleged” momoyama period Rope Mimi tsuba in my collection.Nice and thick! 🤣
  16. I have a similar one to yours. I posted this on here before and the lovely Ford Hallam commented that he thought it was muromachi and slightly cut down form it’s original size regards
  17. Hi to you, It is my humble opinion that this hamon is supposed to represent the “Muramasa Mino style” that is seen A LOT on gunto and many nihonto. Whether or not it’s nihonto or not I cannot say, but feel free to look up Muramasa hamon, and you’ll see sometimes this exact 3 choji-2 choji-2 choji-3 choji etc etc or similar pattern but in togari types or mixed. regards
  18. I have several. It does appear to be an intact version of the “patrolman’s furnishings”
  19. Idk what you see but this is a pic of what I think OGi-ba looks like, this on one of my Mumei blades. There are three here, left, right and center, and they look like a kabuto
  20. Hi again, I have spent tooooo much time researching but I did find this piece and the statement from Robert Haynes says a lot. See attached (I hope I have permission to use this pic)
  21. I have read your file on Yoshiro tsuba. I think this has the Heianjo/Yoshiro look and feel. If you have any feedback about this “feel” I have then let me know please. respectfully yours
  22. I’d buy it right now 😁
  23. It is not a Japanese made sword, imo. The writing is not the kind you would see on an authentic piece, it is a poor imitation.
  24. Does anyone have any ideas as to the maker or school of creation for this piece? It had to have been made this way from the beginning. It doesn’t appear to be modified “from” something. I agree the side Ana were added later, but…. any other thoughts? regards
  25. There are many variations, and some amazing pieces made as well. Lots of commissioned pieces signed by smiths for private sale. They are out there!
