  1. Yes the book is amazing really well made and top quality I would say. Well worth the money and a must have for any nihonto enthusiasts.
  2. Would be cool if someone who owns a Muramasa or 2 would put one of those ghost meters or a spiritbox near the blade to see if it truly has any entities attached to it.
  3. I wonder if this sword belongs to him or his great great uncle.. Https://www.ancient-origins.net/artifacts-ancient-technology/norimitsu-odachi-who-could-have-possibly-wielded-enormous-15th-century-021428
  4. Thankfully I haven't felt any type of presence with the blades in my collection..
  5. I wonder how many of the koto swords if not most have a gruesome past glued to them. All the stories you read about these wonderous old blades that are super sharp and have magical powers, i believe not all are made up. They have had to come from someone who experienced or seen something. They say bigfoot is a myth yet I beg to differ.. Interesting page with myths or not myths.. https://japaneseswordlegends.wordpress.com
  6. So if there no spirit attached you think I can get a refund?
  7. I doubt that only Muramasa blades can be cursed. Anything can be cursed in my opinion.
  8. It's not that expensive, does that mean that the owner is just trying to get rid of it? I personally don't want to risk it in case there really is something attached to the sword.
  9. So here is the claim... anyone care to investigate?
  10. The black background is legit the two seperate pics are the piece in question.
  11. The comparison between shoshin and gimei shows that this is a gimei piece. From what I can see the minotagawa mon is extremely sloppy. The stokes are different
  12. "No sue" I believe after the kishin dayu. Mi skuzi Steve.
  13. My intent wasnt to upset or put you down jp. It's a beautiful sword and if you like it that is all that matters. As far as what I stated is my personal opinion and what I've heard from several people. Not that big a deal. Shouldn't have said anything
  14. Your absolutely right use. Thank you for elaborating. Kotetsu is a very very big name and unfortunately many forgeries were made. That's part of dealing with nihonto so it is what it is. I suggest before buying a piece you do you due diligence and research as many authentic signed pieces and do your best to compare the mei. Still tricky but should be done
  15. I think polish was done by non traditional togishi
  16. Kishin dayu kawachi no kami minamoto yukihira
  17. Here are some images of the katana. Feel free to tell me if you think it's shoshin or gimei.
  18. Most definitely gimei. Peace
  19. I agree with a couple folks on this thread, you should send it to the NBTHK. A lot of complaints the the nthk not trustworthy. Just saying.
  20. Just received the tanto very beautiful work of art even nicer then in the pictures. Big thanks to Raymond for the smooth transaction and the exquisite tanto.
  21. If you live in New York can you purchase katanas from buyer? For some reason it says prohibited
  22. Interesting, when the katana is polished I'll put some pics up.
  23. Thank you. Does it have any significance?
  24. Yes I know it's a lot of translating. Is that what it says Mino kuni kaneuji? Was wondering if it says anything important.
