  8. Just to share with you my tanto koshirae with some unusual fittings. The copper gilt fuchi-kashira and menuki are decorated with colored enamels. I have searched for other similar fittings and unfortunately can't find any. Does anyone know more about this type of fittings? Maybe a school to research? Please feel free to comment. Regards, Ed

  20. Hi Phil, I can only help you with the manufacturing date. 二 Ni (2) 十 Ju (10) 年 Nen (year) 一 Ichi (1) 月 Gatsu (month) Without era name I presume Showa, so 1926 + 20 -1= 1945, 1st month = January. Hope this helps. Regards, Ed
