  1. Hi, According Roald and Patricia Knutsen in the book Japanese spears, this kind of yari is called "UEKAMA-JUMONJI-YARI". Always according this book, CHIDORI-JUMONJI-YARI is a yari where the main blade is flanked by two side blades, each downward drooping and having small pointed kissaki, suggesting bird's clawed feet.

    Hi I've forgotten the two last kanji Concerning Yanagawa, i've seen Yanagigawa on Nihonto Koza (Different reading but same meaning?)

    Hi, The mei reads Good smith who is rated jo-saku.
  7. Hi, Yosazaemonnojo Sukesada 与三左衛門尉ç¥å®š is the same name than Yososaemon no jo Sukesada 与三左衛門尉ç¥å®š. Just a different reading.

  18. Hi, I think that the fakers would have to make the same tools than those which are used by the smiths they have intention to imitate. It seems not to be the case with this blade. :lol:
  19. HI, Oshigata come from Kanzan Shinto Oshigata Dictionnary (which is an affordable book). But it doesn't contains more informations than those on the oshigata.
