Hi,
According Roald and Patricia Knutsen in the book Japanese spears, this kind of yari is called "UEKAMA-JUMONJI-YARI".
Always according this book, CHIDORI-JUMONJI-YARI is a yari where the main blade is flanked by two side blades, each downward drooping and having small pointed kissaki, suggesting bird's clawed feet.
Hi,
Moriyama san,
After some research, i've found this:
come from here. What do you think about this? i'm far from to be an expert in Japanese language :?
Hi,
I think that the fakers would have to make the same tools than those which are used by the smiths they have intention to imitate. It seems not to be the case with this blade.
HI,
Oshigata come from Kanzan Shinto Oshigata Dictionnary (which is an affordable book). But it doesn't contains more informations than those on the oshigata.
Hi,
Lee,
Can you post a picture of this blade? Sometimes, photographies don't show up all details (it's why good oshigata are often better to compare).
