Drago Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Hi, I'm not really interested in buying. I found this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/230762741680 This claims to be an Ichihara Nagamitsu blade. BUT the signature looks odd, the kisaki look odd and it's a wakizashi... What is your opinion on the blade and signature? And I have never ever seen a Nagamitsu wakizashi. Has he ever made some? (If so, can you post an example?) Thanks.
kusunokimasahige Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 http://www.nihonto.com.au/html/nagamits ... shi_0.html KM (I would stay away from the ebay one personally...)
raaay Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 Drago It looks like it was made in Liverpool last week imho ray
sanjuro Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Just love the description...... I wasnt aware that shobu zukuri was a type of sori....... Just goes to show you can learn something erroneous every day "Cleaned to show the signature clearly" read as "ruined" if it was any good in the first place. Legit??? About as collectable as an O suriage gunto or showato.
Marius Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 Weird hamon, possibly amateur quenching work on spring steel.
kusunokimasahige Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 To me it looks like one of those generic katana in shirasaya you can buy on ebay, made to look as something it is clearly not. http://www.ebay.com/itm/39-4-Clay-tempe ... 4ab1a5adc1 KM
Jean Posted March 20, 2012 Report Posted March 20, 2012 I lock it because the object is absolutelly uninteresting as often with e-bay. You will find hundreds of swords on e-bay of the same "quality".
