I am going to take a rough guess and say Higo, but really hard to tell without better pictures.

Brian is quite correct. Not even close to Choshu Hagi. Akasaka was my first thought, but Owari certainly is possible. I have attached a picture of a Choshu Hagi tsuba I own (picture was taken by Grey)

Gee, I wish I had as good luck on Fleabay. Very nice piece. When I saw the picture on the the website it looked very washed out, but now seeing your pictures, I am quite impressed with it. Good job and the the price was certainly right.

Hi Nathan, I have bought a number of things from Grey. Both online and at the shows. I have never had a problem and everything has always been a good deal. I agree with Hoanh that what you get should fit your personal taste, but since you asked, I like the Amida Yasuri. It is in good condition and the boar's eyes add a nice touch.

I think that it is a very good deal. If I was looking for a blade, I would be thinking about this.

I have to agree on a "modern" piece. The nakago-ana is tiny for such a large plate. It might fit a small tanto but the plate would be huge in comparison.

Unfortunately , I was there yesterday morning and although the armor was viewable, the blades and fittings were not. It was too bad because I like Morikami (my mother-in -law has been a volunteer there for years). but I had to fly out yesterday afternoon so I guess I am not going to get to see it
