There's 2 ways:

1) Use the tags and upload the image to photobucket or imageshack then paste the link to the image within the tags.

2) Or alternatively add the files as an attachment to your post from your computer where it says "upload attachment" when creating a message. After browsing for the correct image file click "add the file".

Hi, thank you very much for all your help on this. The sword has a very nice shark skin scabbard and the blade is in very good conition with just a few tiny chips. I was told when I purchased this sword that it would have been used by a Japanese pilot, I think this is wrong though? Is this just a common sword with low value? I payed £750 for this sword, was I ripped off? Cheers, Kai

It certainly doesn't look like a wakizashi from the length of the scabbard (saya). How long is the sharpened part of the sword? 60cm (aprox) or more makes it a katana. It would have been unwieldy in a cockpit. £750 is not a ripoff these days. I would like to see more of the saya. John

Hi John, thank you for all your help on this. The Saya is very nice on this sword, not too sure why a WW2 sword would have such a nice saya? The sharpened part of the blade is approx 24 1/2 inches. I can get you some more pictures of the saya and sword later in the week for you all to have a wee look at. A thats good that I payed an ok price for it! :D Kai

P.S. what kind of pictures are you wanting to see, close ups of mounts etc?

Hi lads, thanks for all your help with this, I have now moved this sword on today to a friend as I am really wanting an old sword made in the traditional way. I have my eye on a Tachi sword that I have been told is old? I will try and get a picture of the nakago before I purchase it to show you guys! Cheers, Kai :D
