greetings  fellow addicts, i throw myself at the digital floor in help!!

 

i have a soft spot for pottary,  i got this little cuttie on a whime. its all of 15cmm tall but whats it read??

BaZZa.

it always gives me a headache thre next day,  but it still holds a very sweet smell within the bottle.

 

would this be called BIZEN ware?

Bizen is generally unglazed, earthy or rusty brown.

 

Not sure what to call yours, blue brushwork on an off-white clay, possibly Satsuma? Pottery is not one of my strengths!

The body looks like stoneware (a very tough hard wearing ceramic) which is commonly used for these bottles. Satsuma is a far softer earthenware body that will not withstand the rough handling that these often encounter!

Date is difficult…..possibly Taisho …..but still made today.
