Edward G Posted May 2 Report Posted May 2 Attached are pictures of a WW2 Navy sword with an old Wakizashi blade.. I think that the 2 character inscription is read as Suke Yuki. Please confirm if you agree with this. The nagasa measures 19 1/4 inch with a faint visible choji hamon. The tang as you can see has been shortened. The rust color is a rich black. I do not see a listing in Hawleys for this one. Any help with an age esimate or time period would also be appreciated Edward G Quote
Ray Singer Posted May 2 Report Posted May 2 Sadayuki. I would look at one of the Muromachi period smiths who used the name Sadayuki and were working in Bungo province. 3 Quote
