Locating spare koshirae pieces - seppa

Good morning - can anyone recommend a source for spare kaigunto koshirae pieces?

 

A koshirae I acquired recently is missing one of its seppa.  A couple photographs for those of you who may have extras.

You need the opposite side (after the tsuba to the blade). Its bigger than that seppa.

As noted by Chris, there are different sizes depending on which side you are outfitting (tang side or blade side of the tsuba). Here is a good illustration of how they fit together.

John is a friend and I have a few photos of his sword in hand. It is a kai-gunto (I am mentioning this, as there are shin-gunto parts shown in the Ohmura diagram above). John is looking for a matching seppa for the other side (between tsuba and tsuka). I'm attaching photos here to show what John has and what he is missing. Appreciate if anyone can assist.

Crimson Mist Militaria has a couple of gold-colored seppa for sale, but I don't see a black one today.  You might try contacting the owner and letting him know what you need.  He might have sources to find one.

The seppa you are looking for must be smaller ...Not larger with the latch opening on the opposite side.

The tsuka side seppa are always slightly smaller than the saya side.

What is the size of the remaining alloy seppa ?

The correct size seppa will be slightly larger than the remaining alloy colored one. as it will sit in front of it.

The correct shape and thickness is another factor.

Doug - I agree, and am hoping to just find one that is close so the koshirae fits more snugly.
