I'm sure it's no coincidence that the book's subtitle echoes the motto of Himmler's SS "Meine Ehre heißt Treue" (My Honour is Loyalty).

Himmler draws parallels in his foreword to the samurai of the past and his  black corps and recommens that the men  of his SS read this booklet Dee

Late War publication date, 1944. Interesting timing to push loyalty as virtue, as things were collapsing on both fronts for Germany at the time.

I already mentioned it once I think, but I was involved in briefly assessing foreign ministry property which was taken as Soviet trophy.

90% was Chinese gifts from early and pre-Hitler period - vases, plaques, some artwork, contemporary or early XXth century items. There was surprisingly little Japanese.
