Matsunoki Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 Firstly I apologise for the fragmented images. The sword is not mine and the images are from a friend who has requested assistance. My translation abilities are lacking especially with these “chippy” gunto kanji….so….please can anyone help me out? Many thanks in advance and again, apologies. All the best. Colin Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 Looks like 貞弘 - Sadahiro (real name 伊神 四郎 Igami Shiro). Listed as a Seki Kaji Tosho. 3 1 Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 Not able to get everything, sadly, but 関住白口貞弘作, where 口 = a kanji I cannot read. Assuming that it is a place name in the Seki area that begins with 白... (?) Or 白鵜, a play on the sound of his name 四郎? Shi-ro-u Giving up for now. 1 Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 I have 3 on file and all 3 have different mei. One is close to this one (and is just as hard to read!) This is the other that begins with "Seki" but the mei kanji are different: 1 1 Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted July 10 Report Posted July 10 Found out I have 2 of his with Showa stamps, and as with the Seki stamped blades, even these 2 mei are different! Don't know if this helps: 1 Quote
