Help required

Hello,

           I would be very grateful if someone can help me or point me in the right direction.   I am trying to get information on a WW2 Japanese Officers sword.    Attached are photos  of the tang.  Ai suggests it was made by the the Nagafuni School between 1603 and 1868 for the Fujiwara family.   

 

Can anyone help with additional information.

Hi Peter...good pics.  FYI we always post mei with the end of the tang at bottom of pic...just easier for those translating (they get a lot of requests)

Hi Peter,

The swordsmith is Ittosai Yasutsuna and the date refers to 2600 years since the founding of the Japanese Empire. Some information in this thread:
