Stephen Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 I know we went over this before but if must have been it the old board, cant find it in files, does anyone use or have used Cybershot 6MP Digital Camera - Silver (DSC-H2) by Sony, I want to do some closeups of a blade or two that may be for sale soon. The price is right and dont want to go much higher. Thanks for any input. Quote
Stephen Posted December 26, 2006 Author Report Posted December 26, 2006 what Digital Camera do you use...I cant find Darcy's link on photographing Nihonto...anyone have it on file? Quote
Brian Posted December 26, 2006 Report Posted December 26, 2006 Stephen, I have an older Sony Cybershot 3.2MP...and a Canon DSLR 6.1 MP camera. To be honest...the Canon may be a much better camera, but for close up (macro) work..I go back to the Sony every time. The Canon would need an expensive macro lens to shine at close-up work, wheras the Sony does a great job with its built in macro feature. I find you seldom need more than 3.2MP as most of the time you will rezize anyways, and if it is not perfect art you are going for..then the pics are fine. Just my opinion of course. I would say you would do fine with the Sony. Btw..Darcy removed his photography pages as too many people were copying his methods for commercial gain I think...with no thanks or dedication. I didn't back them up unfortunately...and wish I did Brian Quote
