Volker62 Posted June 25, 2023 Author Report Posted June 25, 2023 Many many thanks Steve...!!! it seems, that this Tanto was a collaborative work of Tomotaka and his Student Michinaga.... again many thanks! Quote
Nobody Posted June 25, 2023 Report Posted June 25, 2023 I think that one name on the nakago is 池田道長 – Ikeda Michinaga, who was a student of Nankai Taro Tomotaka, though the sayagaki says it is 代田道長 – Daita Michinaga. One questionable point is that Koka 1st year started from 12th month, and the 2nd month of Koka 1st year did not exist. 2 Quote

I have a Yokoyama Sukenaga signed as "Koka Gannen Nigatsubi" which would be around this date. there was a lot of arguing going on regarding if that date did exist. From what i managed to learn and research this date is 100% correct, and all misunderstandings came from different calendar systems. its another thing dated at this day, so i think there might be more to it 1 Quote
