kissakai Posted August 15, 2022 Report Posted August 15, 2022 (edited) I have this email from Igor from the To-Ken (UK) I'd left it for awhile as I felt someone who knew him better than would have posted Dear Members, It is with great sadness that I must report that following a brief illness, our long-term member Tony Norman passed away this morning. Tony will be known to the majority of members as a very active and influential member of the society and a skilled polisher. Many collections within the society include blades that Tony has worked on in the past, and many of us have benefitted from his help as we started on the road of sword study. Should you wish to send a message to Tony’s family, his daughter Jackie has asked that we use either of the email addresses below: Our thoughts and condolences are with Tony’s family at this time. Kind regards, Igor. Edited August 15, 2022 by kissakai A request to remove the two emails from a public forum 1 Quote

Alex A Posted August 18, 2022 Report Posted August 18, 2022 The "go to" guy for good quality polish within the UK, was recommended a lot over the years by those that knew him. I only spoke to him on a few occasions, seemed a real gent and was very helpful Sad to hear. Condolences to his family and friends. Quote
Mark C Posted August 18, 2022 Report Posted August 18, 2022 So sorry to here this news, Tony was a wonderful man and we always had a good old laugh when we met at various shows. Tony helped me with some of my very first blades and stopped me making many mistakes. I for one will miss them greatly. My thoughts go to his family. Quote
