PxN13 Posted February 1, 2021 Report Posted February 1, 2021 Hi all, I saw this blade from daimyou54eb and really liked the hamon, so I made a random offer on it ($1200) and he accepted. Upon closer inspection, it seems like the blade is definitely on the tired side - but I'm still really considering it. Does anyone have a different opinion? ChrisW Posted February 1, 2021 Report Posted February 1, 2021 I won't get too far into the blade itself because I am not an expert. But the fact alone that he took $700 off of a $1900 asking price should speak volumes alone. He isn't doing it for charity and I doubt he's hurting that much for cash. Quote
Fuuten Posted February 1, 2021 Report Posted February 1, 2021 I think that name has become a staple on its own. Best advice is to pass, get a few books. Read up on what attracts you in the first place. Think on it. Buy something to be proud of. Quote
Toryu2020 Posted February 2, 2021 Report Posted February 2, 2021 The polish is not good, I don't see tiredness but I also don't see the cracks and hakobore he mentions. Theres no papers, just a registration card. Walk away, save your money, stop looking at ebay... -t Quote
b.hennick Posted February 2, 2021 Report Posted February 2, 2021 Having been burned twice I never look at Damiyo54's listings. I suggest that you don't waste your time. 1 Quote
