O-Midare Posted December 28, 2019 Report Posted December 28, 2019 I wonder if this is another account used by our good friend the samuraimonkey, he is in Texas if I am correct. Quote
Greg F Posted December 30, 2019 Report Posted December 30, 2019 I also had an interesting conversation with the seller about this sword. I told him they are modern chinese replicas and he said "they are registered with the Japanese museum of historical artifacts and he has the paperwork. He said he is Japanese American and thanked me for the suppression of his culture and told me that the typical American thinks he knows everything." Im Australian and know little but I know he is a scammer. I told him that his sword is the topic of conversation on the internet and he is welcome to join in but he stopped replying at that stage. Oh well. Chris I will let Simon know your appreciation. Greg 1 Quote
ChrisW Posted December 30, 2019 Author Report Posted December 30, 2019 Thanks Greg! And that is possible Dwayne! However, he already does fairly brisk sales on his main eBay account unfortunately, so I don't imagine he's the same guy. But it is a possibility. I just hope that whoever buys it isn't trying to buy it for the alleged history and perhaps is just looking at it for iaido or something. Or better yet, it doesn't sell. 2 Quote
Blazeaglory Posted January 13, 2020 Report Posted January 13, 2020 Just checking that sellers listings he's blatantly selling counterfeit swords. The listings I've seen from following that link all show detailed info stating things like "kamakura" "handed down from family generations" "unbelievable to find a sword as rare as this", etc... So anyone trying to condone this sellers behavior needs to realize he's actively trying to scam people. Currently there are no items for sale but his account is still active Quote
