brillone Posted August 22, 2008 Author Report Posted August 22, 2008 No the sword hasnt arrived yet, but still i'm only mailing the guys with some simple questions and i have wrote in the mail that i may be buying this sword. Damn Swedish post office i'm almost 100% sure the sword is at my post office but i cant get it cause they haven't sent me a note that says it has arrived. So it looks that i will have it monday or tuesday. Quote
brillone Posted August 22, 2008 Author Report Posted August 22, 2008 As a shirasaya cost more than the sword it self i dont know if i can afford it atleast not in a near future. So i wonder what is the best way to keep it protected. i will get a saya but i dont know how it fits. Quote
pcfarrar Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 A shirasaya in the UK would cost about $250. Quote
brillone Posted August 22, 2008 Author Report Posted August 22, 2008 pcfarrar That sounds really good, do you have en links to any websites who does that? Quote
Brian Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Not sure who Peter had in mind, but contact Ford at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=766&hilit=shirasaya for the details of the guy he mentioned. Brian Quote
brillone Posted August 23, 2008 Author Report Posted August 23, 2008 I got the info from peter to contact eric higham and he told me he could do a simple shirasaya for a katana for around 70 english pounds. And jesper had a contact in denmark he will ask also. So thanks everyone for the help. Quote
