Bruce Pennington Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 I like it. If I buy another sword for my collection, it’s going to be something like that. Quote
Death-Ace Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 I won't lie. I was bout to post on it, and had actually been watching and bidding on it and all of a sudden, it's gone! Haha. Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Kyu Gunto are very nice, especially ones with family blades in them. I would avoid that one though, in quite poor condition. Quote

Agreed with the poor condition. Figured if it went cheap enough, might be worth getting. The only thing that was really very bothersome was the pitting on the kissaki. Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted April 6, 2018 Report Posted April 6, 2018 Looks to be a Shinto blade as well, if it looks old many sellers will slap on "Koto" to generate more interest. Quote

Usually this seller does get it right and although has quite a few "rough diamonds," has quite a few good ones that pop it. I missed out on a Ko-Uda in T98 mounts last year when I had money and kick myself for it. Quote
Death-Ace Posted April 7, 2018 Report Posted April 7, 2018 Been in contact with the seller. Really nice guy. Turns out the blade had a hagire, so that's why he took it off. Quote
PNSSHOGUN Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 Good man, it wouldn't surprise me with all those chips and dings a hagire would be in there. It would've still been an ok display piece if you got the saya chromed. Quote
TheGermanBastard Posted April 8, 2018 Report Posted April 8, 2018 I am not sure if this is a Tegai sword and as early as stated by the seller. This seller is pretty knowledgeable. He got some rough stuff at times but I am not convinced it is diamonds in the rough. But then it is the market that determines the price. He usually starts at USD 1.00 hence you get something at what it is worth to you. Quote
