Cheap Wakizashi Or Tanto Under $400

Looking to buy a cheap wakizashi or tanto. Koto or Shinto period. Needs to have shirasaya or koshirae (not interested in bare blades). Any condition. Preference for bohi/horimono. Hoping to keep the costs under $400 total. Anyone have anything they would like to unload?

where would it have to be sent? I might have a couple but if out of US i would be concerned about ones with same' and have to factor in shipping costs

you can also check this  auction http://www.milestoneauctions.com/they have an auction 9/10. Search under "sword" or "tanto" they have a few in the auction and the prices seem low, maybe you can snag a deal, they do online bids

Mark, have you looked at those offerings?
One of the worst collections of worn, tired rusted dogs, and fakes mixed among them that I have seen. And the one or 2 that look like they have a remote chance of being semi ok have estimates well above $1000.

Hmmmm....if your collection looks like that folks...it is time to dump it all and buy one decent blade.

i thought there were some decent low quality items that may sell at a low price. You need to look carefully and avoid fakes but i thought #372a, 372b, and 372c  were at least "real nihonto" and fit what he was looking for and probably will sell cheaply

Yeah, I'm probably being a bit over critical. But people do need to look closely at those, as there are some with real issues, and some fakes too.
