Good luck with forming a club. I would start off with 3-4 meetings a year and see how it works. 12 presentations is a lot. Our club in Toronto has about that number sometimes more. People are away both winter and summer.  Snowy weather makes travel difficult.

Im thinking about more that just presentations. I am thinking a social club as well. One meeting can be just for mismatched fuchi "exchange" followed by a sake tasting. Book reviews/ trades / info exchange. Vote each month to determine what to do next month.

Running a word club/society takes a lot of time, Michael, & needs more than one or two people to support it.  Otherwise, people will quickly lose interest, & either drop out, or show up infrequently.  Not an easy task.
