SteveM Posted December 6, 2015 Report Posted December 6, 2015 I m guessing that the small writing is dates? It's possible, but too hard for me to tell. Maybe if you had a close-up of just the bottom left corner it might help. Could also be a name. Quote
lonely panet Posted January 24, 2016 Author Report Posted January 24, 2016 yes I do too, and heres a clearer photo of the lower unreadable kaji that steve mentioned. out of interest how many of this photo would have been developed? Quote
lonely panet Posted January 24, 2016 Author Report Posted January 24, 2016 but also heres another interesting photograph its 2 army soldiers, but one has a type 32, BUT its the only recorded example of one with a weather cover for the scabbard. has anyone else seen this before? the photo is dated from the early 20's and I can only assume in china? SteveM Posted January 24, 2016 Report Posted January 24, 2016 The far left line of the back of the Togo picture looks like 千代子姉 (from your older sister Chiyoko). The photo is dated November 23rd, Showa 13 (1938). So it could well be from Manchuria. 1 Quote
