Hello everyone,

can anybody tell something about this wakizashi blade, mounted in WW II "dress", just aquired. I believe the blade is much older. However I cannot remove tsuka, which seems to be stuck(will do so when I figure out the most safe way to do so).

Kanji is written on the bladeside top. Anyone who´s got ANY suggestions to what we are dealing with?

Lots of thanks and apreciation,

Flemming

Bad fake...exhibiting just about all of the fake indicators.

Sorry, but this one is not even close. Research, books, study....then purchase. Hope it didn't set you back much.

Keep your eyes open then Flemming. This one screams at you, some of the more recent ones are getting very close. One turned up at a local auction and I had to look twice even with it in hand. Of course that could say more about me than the quality of fakes..................

After some study you will recognize the first pic as fake after the first row of pixels :D Also, if you are shopping for swords on ebay... don't. 100:1, fake:real
